Webuild consortium to build Trento bypass

Italian infrastructure manager RFI has awarded a consortium of Webuild, Ghella, Collini Lavori and Seli Overseas a contract worth around €934 million to build a railway bypass around Trento. The project will see the construction of 13 km of track, 11 km of which will be in a tunnel. The works are part of the extension of the Verona – Fortezza railway line to the southern approach of the Brenner Pass. They are part of the European Scandinavia-Mediterranean corridor.
