Track construction company VolkerRail has been awarded a framework contract by Transport for London (TfL) to renew trackwork on London's light rail transit (LRT) network. The contract is for three years with an option for a further five years. It is the third contract VolkerRail has been awarded for the 28 km LRT network. In total, the company has already replaced more than 6,000 m of track at 32 sites in the Croydon area.
