Società Subalpina di Imprese Ferroviarie (SSIF), the Italian operator of the Domodossola – Locarno Centovalli rail line, has placed an order worth €1.1 million with track construction vehicle manufacturer SVI for the supply of new maintenance vehicles for the Domodossola – Locarno line. This order comprises three-axle basic wagons, basic flat wagons with bogies and axle platform wagons with interchangeable equipment. The contract was awarded to a single supplier to ensure technical uniformity.
