The Italian railway infrastructure manager RFI has awarded the execution planning and implementation of the electrification works on the Ivrea – Aosta section of the Chivasso – Aosta railway line to a consortium consisting of Impresa Luigi Notari, S.I.F.E.L., Costruzioni Linee Ferroviarie, CLF and Rete Costruzioni Ferroviarie. The contract value is €79 million. In addition to the electrification of the 66 km section between Ivrea and Aosta, the project includes the construction of three new substations in Donnas, Chatillon and Aosta. The tender was published in January 2023, and the works are scheduled to be completed by 2026.
