RB Solutions, a leasing company for specialised rail vehicles, has awarded Austrian manufacturer Plasser & Theurer contracts to supply two track construction machines. This includes a Unimat tamping machine of the 08-4x4/4S series to be delivered by the end of 2025, and a universal ballast distributing and profiling machine of the type USP 2010 SWS to be delivered in April 2025. According to Plasser & Theurer, the two machine types are already approved for use in Sweden and Norway. The tamping machine will have provision for the installation of the European Train Control System (ETCS).
