PGE Energetyka Kolejowa receives UTK safety certificate

PGE Energetyka Kolejowa has received the uniform safety certificate for operation on the Polish railway network from the Polish Railway Transport Office UTK and is now authorised as a rail transport operating company. The certificate was issued for the maximum possible period of five years and will therefore remain valid until 2029. The subsidiary of the PGE Group can now effectively implement maintenance contracts and railway contracts. PGE Energetyka Kolejowa is responsible in particular for the maintenance of the traction network, an activity that is carried out around the clock throughout the year. PGE Energetyka Kolejowa's customers include infrastructure operator PKP PLK. Under the contract with PKP PLK, the company maintains over 25,000 km of the traction network, repairs faults, carries out regular inspections, and provides specialised services, such as protecting overhead lines from icing.
