Société du Grand Paris (SGP) has awarded contracts to Italian manufacturer MerMec for the supply of rail vehicles for the investigation of lines for maintenance on the Grand Paris Express (GPE) metro network. The contracts cover the development studies, validation, manufacturing, testing, putting into operation and guarantee for the procurement of vehicles and equipment for inspection needed for the maintenance of the GPE lines. The award comprises two lots. The first lot includes the study and supply of vehicles for lines 15, 16 and 17 of the GPE network. The second lot calls for vehicles for line 18. This equipment will be integrated into the operational convoys, which consist of the vehicles and the infrastructure maintenance modules.
