Hitachi Rail has signed an agreement with the Italian manufacturer Mer Mec for the sale of its main line signalling subsidiary in France and its signalling subsidiaries in Germany and the UK. The signing of the agreement with Mer Mec is part of fulfilling the conditions set by the antitrust authorities for the completion of the acquisition of Thales by Hitachi Rail.
