Alstom to maintain track systems for PKP PLK

Rail technology supplier Alstom has signed a service contract with Polish infrastructure operator PKP PLK for equipment and computer systems in the field of railway traffic control. The contract, which is valid until the end of 2025, covers the maintenance of 328 systems on 17 railway lines throughout Poland. The services include maintaining a modern signalling system, carrying out periodic inspections and ongoing repairs, spare parts management, reporting and training. The goal is to ensure the maintenance of railway traffic control systems and to reduce the time required to rectify faults. In Poland, Alstom has implemented the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) Level 2 on most of the country's main lines and the control centre for the Warsaw metro network. In addition, the company has set up 30 centralised rail traffic control systems, equipped over 200 stations with computerised dependency systems, and modernised over 1,700 level crossing signalling systems.
