Robel to deliver rail loading systems to ARTC

The Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) has ordered two rail loading systems of the ROREXS series from Robel, a manufacturer of track construction vehicles. These comprise one unit for the transport and unloading of up to 50 rails and another with an additional loading function for up to 32 rails, each 165 m long. The project is being realised by Robel in partnership with Rail First Asset Management (RFAM), an Australian leasing company specialising in rail freight vehicles. As part of this, RFAM is providing 36 specially adapted flat container wagons on which Robel will install the transport systems. They are to be used from spring 2025 for the delivery of new rails as well as the salvage of old rails.
