The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) has appointed a joint venture (JV) of Mace and Systra India to redevelop the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai, India's largest railway station. The JV is planning the construction of new space on the roof of the CSMT, several food and beverage areas, a new waiting area, as well as a shopping arcade, and will be responsible for the design studies and supervision of the construction works. The focus is on preserving the historic appearance, as the station has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2004.
