India's National High Speed Rail Corp Ltd (NHSRCL) has awarded the final construction contract for the Mumbai – Ahmedabad high-speed rail (HSR) line to Larsen & Toubro. The contract is the last of eleven construction contracts for the 508 km corridor. The 135 km line from Shilphata in Maharashtra state to Zaroli on the Maharashtra-Gujarat border will include three stations at Thane, Virar, and Boisar, seven tunnels, and a 2 km bridge over the Vaitarna river.
