DMRC awards project management to Hill for phase 4 of MRTS

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has awarded construction consultancy Hill International a project management contract for Phase 4 of the Delhi Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS). The contract covers the extension of Metro Line 7 from Mukundpur to Maujpur, Line 8 from Janakpuri to RK Ashram, and Line 10 from Aerocity to Tughlakabad, totalling 65 km. Of these, 27 km will be underground with 18 new stations, while the remaining 38 km will be elevated with 27 stations. The extensions will serve new residential areas in the Delhi National Capital Region (NCR). The MRTS project is funded by the governments of India and Delhi and supported by a loan from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Hill will also provide project management for the installation of signalling, telecommunications, the traction power supply system, as well as the construction of vehicle depots and an operations control centre.
