The Canadian TGF high-frequency rail project started its Request for Proposals (RFP) on 13th October 2023. The tender procedure, which will run until summer 2024, has invited Cadence, Développeurs Ferroviaires Interurbains, and Partenaires Ferroviaires QConnexiON to participate. The new line will span the Québec City to Toronto corridor with dedicated passenger rail tracks. Bidders must develop two speed solutions, one for trains with a maximum speed of 200 km/h and one for high-speed rail (HSR) sections. Indigenous involvement is an important aspect of the project and part of the bidding process.
