The São Paulo State Secretariat for Investment Partnerships (SPI) has published a revised tender for the €2.5 billion (BRL 13.5 billion) TIC InterCity Train project. The winner of the tender, to be selected on 29th February 2024, will receive a 30-year concession for infrastructure works and operation of the line between São Paulo and Campinas. The journey time will be 64 minutes. The São Paulo state government will contribute €1.6 billion to the total investment. The signing of the contract is planned for the second quarter of 2024.
