The government of São Paulo has launched 13 tenders for concessions, privatisations, and partnerships with an investment volume of €23 million (BRL 120 billion). The first tender is for the 101 km intercity (TIC) long-distance passenger rail transport link on the northern axis, which will connect São Paulo with Campinas. The project is to be realised through a public-private partnership (PPP) with a planned investment volume of €2.5 billion.
