US industrial tool supplier Enerpac has acquired Track Tools, a supplier of rail maintenance tools. Under the terms of the agreement with Track Tools, Enerpac has exclusive worldwide rights to the Track Tools brand, its track maintenance products, and the ability to leverage Track Tools's expertise in track maintenance. With the acquisition, the Track Tools TL248 track lifting system will become part of Enerpac's portfolio of solutions for the railway industry. The lifting system is powered by four independent Enerpac hydraulic jacks that can raise and lower tracks to an accuracy of about 3 mm. The TL248 hydraulic lever solution is specifically designed to lift and hold railway crossings, switches, retarders, and bridge ends, allowing vibratory machines to work in the upright position.
