Construction work has officially started on metro line 7 in Santiago de Chile. The 26 km line with 19 stations between the suburb of Renca in the north-west of the metropolitan region and Vitacura in the north-east is to be operated fully automatically. The total investment of the project is €2.46 billion ($2.5 billion). Systra planned the line, while Egis is managing the project. The line is scheduled for completion in 2027.
