Austrian state railway ÖBB has announced the awarding of a contract for the delivery of a total of 34 road-rail vehicles to railway and construction machinery manufacturer Zagro. These are framework agreements concerning the development, design, manufacture, railway approval and authorisation, delivery and putting into operation of road-rail shunting vehicles for the shunting of all types of rail vehicles. The term of the framework agreement is eight years from the date of the award of the contract. The vehicles comprise 12 road-rail shunting vehicles with a trailer load of up to 500 t with a total value of approx. €6.5 million, 12 road-rail shunting vehicles with a trailer load of up to 700 t with a total value of approx. €7.5 million and ten road-rail shunting vehicles with a trailer load of up to 1,000 t with a total value of approx. €11.5 million.
