Warsaw metro network to be extended to 113 km by 2050

In Warsaw, the existing three metro lines with a total length of 41.5 km are to be increased to five lines with a total length of 113 km by 2050. On the M1 line, additional stations are to be built at Plac Konstytucji. Line M2 is currently being extended to Karolin, and according to the expansion plan this line will be further extended to Ursus Niedźwiadek with three additional stations. In addition, the M2 line would be extended from Bródno to Marymont. For the M3 line, which would run from the stadium on the M2 line to Zwirki i Wigury, studies are already in progress. The new M4 line would connect Wilanów with Tarchomin, and line M5 would run from Szamoty to Goclawek.
