Two more contracts awarded for construction of NSCR section in Manila

The Philippines Department of Transportation has awarded two more contracts for construction of the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) line. The joint venture (JV) of First Balfour and Leighton Contractors Asia has been awarded contract S03A for construction works on the 7.9 km line section over a viaduct and two stations worth €366 million (PHP 22.1 billion). Construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2027. Contract S03C for construction works on the 5.8 km section over a viaduct and two stations was awarded to a JV of PT Adhi Karya and PT PP worth €302 million. Construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2028. Completion of the 147.26 km NSCR line, worth €14.5 billion, from Clark to Calamba City via Manila is scheduled for 2028, according to the Philippines Department of Transportation.
