The company Société du Grand Paris (SGP) is to be renamed Société des Grands Projets in order to extend its powers to the whole of France, and to organise the creation of RER Métropolitains services. The bill was approved in the National Assembly committee. At least ten RER Métropolitans (regional express) services are to be set up within ten years. SGP is to organise the planning and construction of the infrastructure necessary for the realisation of the RER Métropolitans services. The bill is to be discussed in a public session in the Assemblée Nationale on 12th June 2023.
