Sacyr to build Loja – Riofrio HSR section

The Spanish railroad infrastructure manager Adif AV has awarded the contract for the construction of the 3.2 km long Loja – Riofrio section of the Mediterranean corridor to the construction company Sacyr Construcción. The contract is worth €49 million. The section of the Antequera – Granada high-speed rail (HSR) line will be built as a double-track standard gauge line and is part of the 19 km long Loja bypass. The work includes the substructure, also for the future HSR station and parking lot, two flyovers, and 17 drainage structures, as well as the renewal of two roads. Adif AV is counting on funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
