The Association of the Czech Railway Industry (ACRI) has significantly expanded its business contacts in the Middle East, particularly in Israel and Qatar. During an official state visit from Czech president Petr Pavel to these countries, products and technologies from the Czech railway industry were presented, in particular solutions for sustainable public transport. In Israel, which is investing heavily in the development of local public transport, talks were held between ACRI representatives and representatives of the Israeli state railway IR and the Israeli Ministry of Transport. In Qatar, talks were held with the state investment agency Invest Qatar about investment opportunities for companies in the Czech railway industry.
