The Bulgarian infrastructure operator NRIC has published preliminary information on the planned procurement of a new specialised machine for dismantling and installing contact wire and suspension cables. The machine is intended to mechanise the previously manual and time-consuming work and thus make it more efficient. A budget of €1.5 million (BGN 3 million) has been earmarked for the purchase of the catenary wire laying machine.
