Participation of Spanish state-owned companies in ERJU projects

Spanish rail infrastructure managers Adif and Adif AV, Spanish state rail operator Renfe Operadora, and state-owned consulting companies Cedex and Ineco are involved in six projects worth more than €568 million as part of Europe's Rail Joint Undertaking (ERJU). ERJU, the European Union's (EU) new partnership for rail transport, is contributing €232.8 million to the financing of the projects. The companies say they are involved in six projects over ten years: FP1-MOTIONAL for network and mobility management in a multimodal environment, FP2-R2DATO for digital and automated train operations, FP3-IAM4RAIL for intelligent and integrated asset management, FP4-Rail4EARTH for the development of a green, sustainable rail system, construction, FP5-TRANS4M-R for sustainable, digital and competitive rail freight, and FP6-FutuRe for the revitalization of regional rail lines.
