Polish infrastructure manager PKP PLK has signed a contract worth €3 million (PLN 13.6 million) with Multiconsult Polska to develop design documents for the electrification of the Luków – Lublin railway line. The project aims to increase train frequency and transport capacity. The documentation is to be completed by 2027. The project includes the electrification of the entire 106 km line from Luków to Lublin. The tender for the project was launched in May 2023. The value of the entire project, including design, construction and electrification works, is approx. €83.7 million.
