The Spanish Ministry of Transport (Mitma) has awarded a contract for the preparation of a feasibility study for a Plasencia – León rail line to the Spanish planning company Prointec. The contract, worth €820,826, includes a two-year investigation into the reactivation of the Ruta de la Plata rail corridor from a technical, economic and environmental aspect. In addition, a demand study will be realised and alternative routes developed.
