Metro line 1 in Navi Mumbai went into operation on 17th November 2023. The 11.1 km long, completely elevated line with eleven stations connects Belapur on the Harbour Line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway with Pendhar in Navi Mumbai. Construction work began in 2011 and was originally due to be completed by the end of 2015. The operator is Maharashtra Metro Rail Corp, a joint venture (JV) of the Indian government and the state of Maharashtra. CRRC Zhuzhou supplied eight three-car multiple units.
