The Italian railway infrastructure manager RFI has announced that it has awarded a contract for the supply of seven multifunctional diagnostic trains to the Italian manufacturer Mermec and Prüftechnik Linke & Rühe (PLR), with a total value of €75 million. The supplies also include measuring systems for rail maintenance and tunnel faults as well as maintenance of the rail vehicles and diagnostic systems.
