Australian rail construction company Martinus has entered into a purchase agreement to acquire Bottom Line Company, based in Lee's Summit, Missouri. The acquisition will establish Martinus Bottom Line, a US subsidiary of Martinus North America, which will serve Class I railways, short-line railways, and industrial markets. The acquisition will add 2,000 new employees to the Martinus Group. Bottom Line, which currently operates in Australia, New Zealand, and South America, specialises in track construction, bridge construction and maintenance, track safety, as well as emergency derailment services.
