Since 1st November 2023, Constantin Lehnert has been responsible for European policy, rail technology, and rail transport at the German Transport Forum (DVF). He previously worked for MEP Anna Deparnay-Grunenberg (Greens). Lehnert has worked in the EU Parliament since 2016, first as a staff member of the Chair of the Committee on Transport and Tourism, Michael Cramer (Greens), then in his MEP office and from mid-2019 until January 2023 for Deparnay-Grunenberg. Lehnert studied public administration in Potsdam and Rotterdam. At DVF, he succeeds Susanne Landwehr, who had already moved back to Deutsche Verkehrs-Zeitung (DVZ) as capital city correspondent on 1st September 2023.
