Knorr-Bremse takes over Alstom's CCS business in North America

Knorr-Bremse has announced the acquisition of Alstom Signaling's control command and signalling (CCS) technology business in North America. The transaction is expected to be completed in summer 2024. The acquisition will cost around €630 million. In the financial year 2023/24, which ended on 31st March 2024, Alstom Signaling North America generated revenues of around €300 million and an EBIT margin of around 16%. The acquisition will be financed through existing liquidity and debt, with Knorr-Bremse's credit rating remaining unaffected.
