The new high-speed rail (HSR) line between Jakarta and Bandung has been named Whoosh. The name stands for "Waktu Hemat, Operasi Optimal, Sistem Handal", which translates as "Time Saving, Optimal Operation, Reliable System", and is inspired by the sound of high-speed trains (HST). The HSR line has been in operation since September 2023.
