The German infrastructure manager DB InfraGo has invited tenders for the refurbishment of two railway corridors. One project to upgrade the Lehrte – Berlin line comprises the renewal of the superstructure of the slab track together with the removal and new construction of points, as well as the necessary adjustments to an overhead line system, the 50 Hz systems and underground cable systems. The second tender concerns the upgrading of the Nuremberg – Regensburg and Obertraubling – Passau lines in one lot each. Work on the Nuremberg – Regensburg line is scheduled to start at the beginning of 2026, followed by the Obertraubling – Passau line.
