The Philippines’ Department of Transportation has awarded Korean company Hyundai Engineering & Construction a contract for the construction of sections 4, 5, and 6 of the Philippine Southern Urban Railway. This is a 56 km line connecting the metro network in Manila with the city of Calamba as part of the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) network. The three sections cover 32 km. While Hyundai will be responsible for construction, Korean company Dong-Ah will carry out foundation works.
