In Hamburg, the implementation of a magnetic levitation (maglev) line by Transport System Bögl (TSB) is currently being examined. This could create a new connection between the Stellingen suburban rail (S-Bahn) station and the Volkspark Stadium. Ground tests for the project were realised in September 2023. Currently, buses operate on this corridor, but they are often stuck in road congestion at peak times. TSB's line would be independent of other infrastructure and could enable a short travel time with high punctuality. The realisation of the line is still open and is currently being evaluated by the Hamburg transport authority. In 2021, the Bögl Group has already realised a TSB Cargo line at the Port of Hamburg within a few months.
