Government awards funding to rail projects for climate resilience

The Canadian Department of Transportation will provide up to €3.7 million (CA$5.4 million) for 20 projects under the Rail Climate Change Adaptation Program. These projects aim to increase the resilience of Canada's rail infrastructure to ongoing climate change. This is to better cope with impacts such as floods, fires, permafrost destruction, and more extreme operating temperatures.
