Further €118.5 million for adaptations on Zaragoza – Teruel – Sagunt line

The Spanish rail infrastructure manager Adif has announced €118.5 million for the adaptation of tunnels and bridges as part of the electrification of the Zaragoza – Teruel – Sagunt line. €54.6 million has been budgeted for the adaptation of 45 overpasses for the installation of poles, catenary and the rest of the electrification equipment. 31 bridges will be completely replaced. €63.8 million will be spent on adapting 19 tunnels with a total length of 4.4 km. Tunnels longer than 100 m will be adapted for the installation of a rigid overhead contact line. Adif is investing a total of €455 million in the 315 km line, a strategic link between the Atlantic and Mediterranean corridors.
