Gorm Frimannslund has decided to resign as CEO of the Norwegian infrastructure operator Bane NOR. Frimannslund has extensive experience in the transport sector. He worked for many years at Widerøe and the SAS system before joining Jernbaneverket in 2014. In autumn 2016, Frimannslund was appointed CEO of Bane NOR. He and the Board have now agreed that it is appropriate to step down as CEO of Bane NOR after a challenging period for the Norwegian railway system. Frimannslund will be available to the organisation until January 2024. The Board of Directors will immediately start the search for a new CEO for Bane NOR. Henning Bråtebæk will fill the position of CEO on an interim basis.
