In spring 2023, project promoter Femern will publish a tender for a major contract regarding the construction of the track and overhead contact line systems in the Fehmarnbelt tunnel. The contract is worth more than €200 million. The conditions for this will be laid down in the Tunnel Track and Catenary (TTC) contract. The upcoming tender for this contract covers a total of 25 km of double-track electrified railway line including overhead lines. In addition to the 18 km in the Fehmarnbelt tunnel itself, a total of 7 km outside the tunnel on the Danish and German sides are included in the scope of the contract. The final winner of the TTC contract is expected to be announced in spring 2025.
