The Spanish Council of Ministers has authorised the Spanish Ministry of Transport (Mitma) to tender, via rail infrastructure operator Adif, the maintenance of high-speed rail (HSR) lines on the southern corridor. The preventive and corrective maintenance work worth €145 million net is to be carried out over four years on the Madrid – Seville, Córdoba – Málaga and Antequera – Granada HSR lines, with a one-year extension option. The work will be managed from Adif's maintenance bases in Mora (Toledo), Calatrava (Ciudad Real), Hornachuelos (Córdoba) and Antequera (Málaga).
