Deloitte has been selected as a consultant for the selection of a concessionaire for the new rail link to Václav Havel Airport in Prague, which is to be realised as part of a public-private partnership (PPP). The consulting firm will participate in the selection process together with Ceska spořitelna, the law firm Cisar, Ceska, Smutna, and the engineering firm AFRY. The project includes the construction of the sections from Prague Veleslavin to Ruzyne and from Ruzyne to the airport, including the construction of the Prague – Václav Havel Airport railway station. The financing, which will enable construction to begin, should be in place within 30 months of the contract being signed, i.e. by September 2026. The entire line is to be operated exclusively under the European Train Control System (ETCS) and is being prepared as a double-track electrified line.
