The Belgian government and the government of Brussels have reached an agreement with the Port of Brussels, Infrabel, and the land owner SFPIM Real Estate to reconnect the port to the rail network from 30th June 2024. The construction permit was granted on 28th September 2023. The new line will also provide access to the Schaerbeek Formation site. Brussels-based companies will then have access to trimodal services (water, rail, road).
