The German state railway DB has announced that it will renovate seven important railway lines in Bavaria by 2030 in order to improve the quality and capacity of the rail network. The general refurbishments will begin in the first half of 2026. During the construction work, which will take around five months, transport will be diverted or replaced by buses. The measures include the renewal of tracks, overhead lines and points as well as the modernisation of stations and signal boxes.
