The German state railway DB and the German Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV) have completed financing agreements for numerous infrastructure projects. The agreements signed include projects such as the realisation of the Cologne – Rhine/Main high-speed rail (HSR) line, the Fehmarn Sound crossing immersed tunnel, as well as accessibility and noise reduction measures. The projects also include the expansion and modernisation of various railway stations and line sections, including the Fangschleuse station as well as the Karlsruhe – Basel and Lübeck – Schwerin line sections.
