CPK receives CEF funding for Warsaw – Lódź HSR line

CPK, the development company for a new transport hub of the same name in Poland, has received a grant of €65.3 million (PLN 290 million) from the European Commission (EC) under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) funding programme for the preparation of the construction of a 140 km Warsaw – Lódź high-speed rail (HSR) line. The estimated value of the project is €78.8 million, of which 85% is to be co-financed by the European Union. The documentation for the Warsaw – CPK section has been prepared since November 2022 by a consortium of the Metroprojekt design office and Sud Architekt Polska. The design of the further section of the line from the CPK junction to Lódź was awarded to a consortium of Egis Poland, Egis Rail, and Jaf-Geotechnika.
