Cowi and Ove Arup to consult on new Copenhagen M5 metro line

Through a public tender, a joint venture (JV) of Cowi and Ove Arup & Partners Denmark has been appointed by Copenhagen infrastructure operator Metroselskabet to consult on the environmental impact assessment of the new M5 metro line. The direct and indirect impacts of the new line on human health, climate, nature, and cultural heritage will be assessed. The JV will also act as a consultant for the laying of the utility lines and the planning of the construction works. The M5 metro line will connect the new districts of Kloverparken, Refshaleoen and Lynetteholmen to the metro network and include a connection point for the planned Öresund metro. Opening is planned for 2035.
