Construction materials supplier Cemex is supplying concrete girders to UK infrastructure manager Network Rail (NR) for a track renewal programme in Lewisham. More than 600 individual crossing girders, ranging in length from 2.5 m to 10.3 m, were required for the renewal of the south-east London crossing. In total, Cemex supplied 2,185 m of concrete for the project, plus NR needed 700 m of rails, 6,000 t of ballast and 1,000 m of conductor rails.
