Swiss railway company BLS has invited tenders for the leasing of two categories of vehicles for infrastructure maintenance. These are, on the one hand, pure traction vehicles with an output of over 1,100 kW and, on the other hand, breakdown and intervention vehicles with a crane system and workman basket. The reason for this is extensive modernisation work over the next four years, for which the company's own vehicle fleet is not sufficient. The vehicles are to be leased for two years from the beginning of 2025, with the option of two one-year extensions. Bids must be submitted by 8th April 2024.
